Why I Do What I Do
I have been in home inspection since 2022. In December 2016, my wife and I immigrated to the United States from Germany. Since then, I have been remodeling homes and helping families find their dream home in Eastern North Carolina. In early 2022, I decided to become a home inspector because I realized I could help families even more this way. The more I got into home inspections, the more I realized that I am very good at it and take an unorthodox approach – I really apply the Golden Rule in my business. I always strive to treat people the way I’d want to be treated. That goes for everyone involved – including sellers and realtors.

What bothers me most in the home inspection industry is the tendency of some inspectors to unnecessarily alarm their clients.
Many inspectors ask their clients not to participate in the inspection, often providing only a summary at the end or simply sending a report without any oral explanation.
This can deter potential buyers from their dream home, as many defects in the report may sound catastrophic, even though they are actually simple to fix or may not be a big problem at all. Our approach at 2 the Core Home Inspections is different.
